Why my chakli turns hard after frying?

If the chakli turns hard after frying, the dough has a less fat content. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil and knead the dough. If the chakli absorbs more oil or breaks while frying, the fat content is more in the dough. The chakli must be fried slowly and evenly on a medium flame. If fried at a high temperature, the chakli turns golden in color very quickly, making it hard from the outside but soft uncooked from the inside.

Why my chakli is not crispy, chewy, and soft?

The chakli must be made slowly and evenly on a medium to low flame. If fried at a high temperature, the chakli turns golden in color quickly, making it hard from the outside but soft uncooked from the inside.
