  • 2 cups Milk Powder
  • 8 tbsp Melted Ghee
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 8 tbsp Thandani Syrup 
  • ¼ tsp Cardamom powder  optional
  • few Pistachios for garnishing

Instructions

  • In a pan, add 8 tbsp of melted ghee and heat the ghee.
  • Add 1 cup of milk. Stir well and let the milk come to a boil.
  • Once the milk is boiling, keep stirring and add milk powder in batches. Ensure no lumps are formed.
  • Stir and cook on a low flame till the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Add 8 tbsp of Thandai syrup.
  • Stir and cook on a low flame till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Transfer to a plate. Spread the mixture and let it cool for 15 minutes.
  • Add ¼ tsp cardamon for extra flavor. Cardamon is already included in the syrup, so this step is optional.
  • Pinch a lemon size ball with grease hands and roll it between your palms.
  • Roll again and give a cylinder shape. Place in a straight position on your palm and gently press down with your other hand. Now, give it a square shape.
  • Place the pistachio over the peda.
  • Soft, delicious Thandai peda is ready.
