Ingredients
1 cup Millet / Sama
2 tbsp Ghee
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2Green Chilieschopped
½inch Gingerchopped
fewCurry Leaves
1Potatofinely chopped
Rock salt or Sendha Namakas per taste
2cup Water

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add millet or sama rice. Wash the rice with water twice or thrice. Finally, add enough water and soak for 30 minutes.
Take a non-stick pot or a Kadai and add ghee. Once the ghee heats up, add cumin seeds and saute it for a minute.
Then add green chilies, ginger, a few curry leaves, and saute it for 1 minute.
Add potatoes. Mix it well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Now add soaked millet or sama rice and mix it well.
Add 2 cups of water, sendha namak, or rock salt, and mix it well again.
Allow the water to come to a boil.
After the first boil, cover with the lid and cook for 7 to 10 minutes on a medium flame.
After 7 to 10 minutes, remove the lid and mix it well.
Remove the pot from the gas and place a Tawa over it.
Now place the sama rice pot over the tawa. Tip* - Any left moisture in the rice will absorb, and the rice will not burn from the bottom of the pan.
Add coriander leaves and mix them well.
Now cover it with a lid and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
