Rasmalai milk
- 250 ml Full cream milk
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ¼ cup Evaporated Milk
- Saffron Soaked in milk
- 2 tbsp Almonds and Pistachios sliced
Stuffing
- ¼ cup Milk Powder
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk
- ½ tsp Ghee
- Saffron soaked in milk
- 1 tbsp Almonds and Pistachios sliced
Assembling
- 5 Bread slices
- 1 to 2 Silver Leaf optional
- 4 tbsp Colored chocolate
Instructions
Stuffing Preparation
- Add ½ tsp ghee and ¼ cup milk powder in a pan. On a low flame, roast the milk powder for a minute.
- Add 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp milk, and a few strings of saffron soaked in milk.
- Mix well and cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add 1 tbsp sliced almonds and pistachios. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Keep it aside for later use.
Rasmalai preparation
- Take 250 ml of full-cream milk in a pan. Let the milk come to a boil.
- After the first boil, stir well and cook for 5 minutes on a low flame.
- Add ¼ cup evaporated milk and stir it well.
- Add ¼ cup sugar, saffron soaked in milk, 2 tbsp sliced almonds, and pistachios.
- Stir and cook the mixture for further five minutes on a low flame.
- Switch off the gas top flame. The consistency of the milk should be medium-thick. Neither thick nor thin.
- Transfer the milk to a bowl. Cover and keep it in the fridge for 15 minutes to chill.
- Take a rose-shaped silicon cupcake and pour 1 tsp of colored chocolate. Keep in the fridge for 5 minutes.
Assembling
- Take a bread slice, and cut the bread into a heart shape or any shape with the cutter.
- Place a little stuffing in the center of the bread.
- Apply little milk on the sides of the bread.
- Place another heart-shaped bread piece over it. Using your fingers, gently press and seal all the sides.
- The stuffed bread piece is ready.
- Place the prepared stuffed bread pieces on a serving plate.
- Pour the prepared chilled milk over each bread piece.
- Apply edible silver leaf (varq) over each bread piece. Gently press the silver leaf with cotton. The leaf will stay firmly over the bread piece.
- Place the colored chocolate over each bread piece.
