Murmura Paneer Cutlet, Puffed Rice – Quick Snacks(Updated)
Ingredients
Cutlet Preparation
- 2 cups Puffed rice
- 150 grams Paneer
- 1 onion chopped
- ½ cup Spinach finely chopped
- a handful of mint leaves chopped
- Fresh Coriander
- 2 Green chilies
- 1 tbsp Ginger paste
- 1 tsp Chat Masala
- 1 tsp Rock Salt
- pinch Turmeric Powder
- ½ tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt as per taste
- 4 tbsp Oats Powder
- 2 tbsp Corn flakes Powder
- Oil for frying
- ¼ cup Corn flakes for coating
Slurry Preparation
- 1½ tbsp Oats powder
- pinch Salt
- pinch Black pepper powder
Instructions
- Take 2 cups of puffed rice in a mixing bowl and soak them in sufficient water.
- Ensure the rice is soaked well in water. Soak for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Drain the water.
- The rice should be soft. Slightly mash it with your hands.
- Add 150 grams of grated paneer, one chopped onion, ½ cup chopped spinach, a handful of chopped mint leaves, and some fresh coriander.
- Add two chopped green chilies, 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp rock salt, a pinch of turmeric powder, ½ tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp garam masala, salt as per taste, 2 tbsp lemon juice.
- Add 4 tbsp oats powder and 2 tbsp cornflakes powder.
- Gently mix all the ingredients well.
- With greased hands, take some mixture and roll it between your hands to form a ball.
- Gently press and flatten it.
- Roll and give a round tikki shape and keep aside.
- Add 1½ tbsp oats powder, a pinch of salt, and black pepper powder to a bowl.
- Add water in batches and prepare a smooth lump free slurry.
- Take ¼ cup of cornflakes, grind them, and keep them aside.
- Dip the prepared cutlet in the slurry and take it out with a fork.
- Coat the cutlets with the cornflakes powder.
- Gently drop them in medium hot oil. Allow them to fry for a few minutes.
- Flip to the other side and fry till golden.
- Drain and transfer them to the kitchen towel to remove the excess oil.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala on the cutlets and enjoy with mint chutney.
