Suva Puri is round, crispy, deep-fried poori made from wheat flour, spices, and Suva(dill leaves). Maida or white flour can also be used instead of wheat flour to make these puris.
The Suva puri is similar to the Farsi puri. It can be enjoyed any time of the day or with evening tea. This Suva puri is a perfect option for kids’ tiffin or dry snacks for traveling.
Dill or Suva leaves have many health benefits, and it is good to eat them regularly. If you are health conscious and like the Suva taste, you can use these Suva puris in the famous sev puri chaat instead of papri.
A simple and quick Dill leaves snack to make at home with just a few ingredients.
All you need to do is mix all the ingredients – wheat flour, cumin seeds, black pepper, dill leaves, Tumeric, salt, and oil, and knead a dough. Roll the dough, give it the desired shape, and fry them. A healthy, flaky, savory, delicious crunchy jar snack ready to enjoy anytime.
These Suva puris can be made at home in two ways. You can individually roll out each puri and fry them or roll a large dough circle and cut them into small pooris with a cutter. The second option is much easier, quicker, and time saver. Remember to prick the puri with a fork so they don’t puff up while deep frying in the oil.
Always make them in a lot and store them in an air-tight container. The shelf life is good, and it stays fresh for 15 days.
