  • 2 cups Full Cream Milk
  • 80 grams Sugar 
  • Saffron
  • 3 tbsp Hot Milk
  • ¼ tsp Cardamom powder 
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Saffron Syrup garnish
  • Pistachios garnish

Instructions

  • Take little saffron in a small bowl. Slightly crush, add 3 tbsp of hot milk and keep it aside.
  • Add 2 cups of milk and let the milk come to a boiling point.
  • Add 80 grams of sugar and soaked saffron in the milk.
  • Stir occasionally and cook on a low to medium flame.
  • The milk has been reduced in quantity by half. 
  • Add 1 cup of desiccated coconut, ¼ cup of cashew nut powder, ¼ tsp of cardamom powder, and 1 tbsp of ghee to the milk.
  • Mix until the mixture is well combined.
  • Add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased tray and spread it evenly.
  • Apply silver vark on the barfi (optional) or garnish it with nuts.
  • After four hours, cut the barfi in the desired shape.
  • Decorate as per preference. Apply sliced pistachio on each barfi.
